Calaway Park, Calgary          

In western Canada's largest outdoor amusement park, 34 rides with names like the Vortex, Chaos, Cosmic Spin, and Mindblaster are bound to get your heart pumping. There are rides and games for all ages, tots to teens, young and young at heart. You'll find five restaurants right inside the park. Stage shows and special events are held throughout the season. Can't do it all in a day? Spend the night under the starts in the RV park & campground next door. Opens on the May long weekend and runs  through the first weekend in October.

Galaxyland & World Water Park, Edmonton  

The world's largest indoor amusement park features more than 24 spectacular rides and play areas for all ages. There's no end to the fun at West Edmonton Mall. Zipline across the waterpark roof, then surf the wave pool, or try any of 17 waterslides in the waterpark - three new ones actually launch you electronically into the tubes! Climb aboard the Santa Maria, an exact replica of Christopher Columbus's 1492' flagship. Buy a Multi-Play Pass - you'll definitely be coming back for more.

Heritage Park Historical Village, Calgary      

Discover “How the West was Once” at Canada's largest living history museum. Here, you'll find the perfect balance of historical fact, discovery and adventure for an authentic taste of western Canada from 1864 through the 1950s.

There are 127 acres and 180 exhibits to explore. The Historical Village offers authentic experiences from the 1860s fur trading era, 1880s rustic pre-railway settlement and a bustling 1910 prairie railroad town. Ride the thundering steam train. Check out the shops in the Haskayne Mercantile Block. Visit the antique midway. Don't miss the unique Gasoline Alley Museum. The S.S. Moyie paddlewheeler will take you for a cruise. Stop for lunch or stay for dinner at the Selkirk Grille.

Fort Edmonton Park

Jump back in time more than 150 years and walk through the days of the fur trade, and the pioneer years. Explore the 1846 Fort and see a demonstration of a fur press. Stroll streets as they were in 1885, 1905 and 1920. Visit the blacksmith and the wheelwright and check out the stables. Take a ride on a steam train, bake bread the old-fashioned way, and hit the 1920's era midway for rides, games and more fun.

Relax with a cup of tea at the Hotel Selkirk and then take in some live theatre at the newly replicated Capitol Theatre, as beautiful as the 1929.original. The park is open mid-May through Labour Day, and weekends in September.
