Heed the clarion call of the hunt. It is impossible to venture into Alberta's wilderness and not come away with a deeper respect for the generosity of the land.

Be it golden plains and parkland, rich boreal forests, or the alpine peaks and valleys outside our national parks, the territory is as varied as the wildlife that inhabit it. Hunters flock to Alberta in the autumn for the chance at bagging big game, waterfowl and upland game birds. Hire a licensed professional outfitter and set your sights on cougar, elk, moose, whitetail and mule deer, pronghorn antelope, black bear and bighorn sheep. And there’s nothing quite so tasty as ringneck pheasant, partridge, grouse and wild duck.

To make the most of your Alberta hunting experience, it’s critical you prepare in advance. Do your research to ensure you arrive armed with the proper licenses, permits and knowledge of provincial regulations.  Rules are strictly enforced.

All out-of-country big game hunters are required to use the services of a hunting guide. Visit Alberta Professional Outfitters Society (APOS) where you can access the entire outfitted hunting industry and all licensed, registered professional guides.

"The diversity of hunting opportunities available in Alberta is second to none. The experience is nothing short of incredible!" - T. Zimmerling, Alberta
