Wildlife Viewing

Three important factors make Alberta a world-renowned destination for wildlife viewing:

Parks and Protected Areas. Alberta has over 500 parks and protected areas covering more than  25 000 square kilometers of wilderness.

Habitat Diversity. There are six different bio-regions within the province.

Species. Alberta is home to more than 500 species of wildlife, including almost 400 bird species.
