Field Stone Fruit Wines is Alberta's first estate winery. Owners Elaine and Marvin Gill opened the winery in the summer of 2005, receiving the very first estate winery license issued in Alberta. They would rely on their farming heritage and their own blood, sweat, and tears to see a dream of fruit wine become a reality. What began as a u-pick berry farm soon grew into Alberta’s first fruit wine business. In 2005, they opened their doors to visitors with one table fruit wine and five dessert wines. Today, you can find these delightful fruit wines in over 100 wine stores, at many seasonal Farmers Markets, and five year-round indoor markets throughout Alberta. Field Stone sources at least 75% of their fruit from its own 50-acre sustainable berry farm. Their ten varieties of wines have won more than 80 national and international awards.
