History comes alive at Fort Edmonton Park. The 158-acre attraction is home to historically significant buildings, immersive experiences and local stories. Fort Edmonton Park is a good place to learn about the area's history and culture. Of course, it’s also an excellent place to have a little old-time fun. The Midway & Exhibition features a 1920s-style Ferris wheel and classic midway food. The Cabinet of Curios is a sideshow filled with screams, tricks and cool effects. The Games Alley has water and shooting games to entertain young and old. Don't miss the Indigenous Peoples Experience, an immersive exhibit that shares the histories, cultures, experiences, and perspectives of First Nations' and Métis peoples in the region. Admission to Fort Edmonton Park includes a ride on the 1919 steam train. You can also take a wagon ride, and there are pony rides for kids. Visit the Capitol Theatre to watch short documentaries about Edmonton’s history. Shopping and restaurants are located throughout the park, which makes it easy to enjoy a full-day experience.
