The Jasper Farmers' Market is a great place to stock up before your next hike or picnic. The market runs every Wednesday from mid-June to mid-September (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Look for fresh local produce and baked goods. There's also a food truck onsite for a quick bite. Beyond staples and treats, the Jasper Farmers' Market serves up a healthy portion of fun. Local musicians entertain shoppers who can also browse the work of some of Jasper’s artisans and artists. Kids will enjoy the craft table and can take home a new book donated by the McCready Centre, which hosts the market. Time your visit right and the kids can enter the annual Cherry-Pit Spit Competition, which rewards accuracy rather than distance and offers bags of cherries as prizes.
