Lac Beauvert, one of Jasper's most beautiful lakes, offers stunning mountain views and easy hiking — it's even warm enough in the summer for a quick dip. ""Beauvert"" translates to ""beautiful green,"" and the glacier-fed lake lives up to its name. The lake is easy to find as it sits alongside the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and the hotel golf course. A scenic hiking trail follows the shoreline of Lac Beauvert for 4 km (2.5 mi). Keep an eye out for elk—and stray golf balls. The Boathouse is open in summer and offers paddleboats, canoes and guided clipper tours for those who want to get out on the water. Parking can be accessed via Old Fort Point Road, making it easy to launch your kayak, canoe or paddleboard.
