Syncrude Wood Bison Viewpoint

Syncrude Wood Bison Viewpoint allows visitors to enjoy a natural setting and glimpse Canada's largest terrestrial mammals grazing or relaxing in the sun. Since the project began, Syncrude has reclaimed over 4,000 hectares of land since the operation began. In 1993 a herd of 30 Wood Bison was settled onto reclaimed land in partnership with Fort McKay. The number of bison now numbers 300.
