The Canmore Visitor Information Centre is your source for the inside scoop on accommodations, restaurants and activities in the mountain town of Canmore. But don’t let the name fool you. Feel free to ask the knowledgeable staff for advice and tips about nearby Kananaskis Country, Banff National Park and even the rest of the province. You’ll find this treasure trove of information (and free WiFi) right off the Trans-Canada Highway at one of the town entrances. It also sits beside the Legacy Trail, a paved biking trail linking Canmore and Banff. Leave your vehicle at the centre, then hop on your bike for the 27 km (17 mi) ride. If you don’t have a bike or prefer an e-bike, you can rent from one of the many shops in Canmore. But they can tell you all about that at the Visitor Information Centre.
