Pitch your tent or park your RV on the slopes of beautiful Tunnel Mountain. Campers enjoy easy access to biking and hiking trails, including the Hoodoo Trail, which offers a forest walk that ends with great views from the lookout platform. You’ll also have easy access to the town of Banff, which is just 4.5 km (3 mi) down the road. Tunnel Mountain Village 1 Campground has 618 sites (reservations are recommended), flush toilets, showers, food lockers and fire pits at most sites. There are a few small stores in the area where you can grab ice, treats and any essentials you may have forgotten to pack. Campers can take advantage of interpretive programs run by Parks Canada in the campground theatre. Of course, campers can also just sit back and enjoy the views. Roam Public Transit stops at the campground, making it easy to get to downtown Banff, Bow Falls and the Banff Springs Hotel.
