Guests are invited to an evening of exquisite dining and an engaging presentation about the Spring Equinox at Eagle Butte Observatory. The event begins at The Clubhouse at Paradise Valley, where attendees will enjoy a three-course meal before being transported to Eagle Butte Observatory for a conversational presentation on the significance of the Spring Equinox. During the equinox, the Earth experiences equal hours of day and night, with the sun rising precisely in the east and setting in the west. This event marks the official transition from winter to spring. Each year, the Earth embarks on a journey around the sun covering approximately 940 million kilometers, with the equinox serving as one of the key moments in this celestial cycle. Amateur astronomer Rod DeVries will share his expertise throughout the evening, offering insights into the Equinox and the remarkable sights visible in the March night sky. Round-trip transportation between Paradise Valley and Eagle Butte Observatory is included.
