Light Up and Celebrate the Season at Your Alberta Legislature

Every December, the Legislative Assembly invites Albertans to celebrate the holiday season with the enchanting illumination of the Legislature Grounds and free musical performances in the stunning rotunda. Festivities kick off with Light Up on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Enjoy family-friendly activities, live music, and hot chocolate by donation at the Visitor Centre. Highlights include the Borealis Gallery, Capital Gifts, Democracy Discovery Centre, and Pehonan Theatre. At 6:30 p.m., join the Light Up ceremony at Violet King Henry Plaza to witness the dazzling lights and majestic Christmas tree. From December 6 to 21, 2024, Celebrate the Season brings free holiday music to the Rotunda with lunchtime concerts on Fridays (noon to 1:00 p.m.) and evening performances on Fridays and Saturdays (6:30 to 7:30 p.m.).
