The Military Police Fund for Blind Children: Founded by Col James Riley Stone CM DSO & Two Bars MC CD in 1957, the MP Fund for Blind Children is the ONLY registered charity of the Canadian Armed Forces. The Blind Fund is run and managed entirely by Military Police volunteers (both serving and retired and inclusive of all ranks). It is supported by the entire Canadian Forces Military Police Group. Main objectives. To relieve conditions associated with a disability by providing assistive devices and specialized support services to children and young adults up to and including the age of twenty-one who have a medically diagnosed visual impairment.2. To relieve conditions associated with a disability by providing athletic and recreational programs to support the physical, mental and emotional well-being of children and young adults up to and including the age of twenty-one with a medically diagnosed visual impairment.3. To support charitable organizations and individuals involved in the education, training, and recreation of blind and visually impaired children and young adults. Owned and operated by the Canadian Motorcycle Tourism Association, this military museum tells the stories of veterans of note and killed-in-action soldiers from Northwest Alberta (Region One of the AB/NWT Command of the RCL) and brings the community together in engaging and meaningful ways. Veterans Memorial Gardens & Interpretive Centre is a half-acre pocket garden in the community of Hillside in Grande Prairie that offers field trips, education kits, community events, food security programs, military ceremonies and so much more.
