This memorable attraction in the Canadian Rockies lets visitors experience everything the Columbia Icefield has to offer, and the Ice Explorers are the stars of the show. The massive machines transport guests in complete comfort onto the Athabasca Glacier. Once out on the ice, guests can get off the Ice Explorer and have a look around. And there is plenty to see. The Columbia Icefield has been the geological heart of Jasper National Park for centuries. Knowledgeable guides explain the wonders of this place and even show you where to sample its waters. After the trip to the glacier, guests experience the Columbia Icefield Skywalk. An interpretive pathway leads to one of the most striking viewpoints in the world: a glass-floored walkway suspended 280 metres (918 feet) above the Sunwapta Valley. The Columbia Icefield Adventure also includes transportation to and from the Glacier Discovery Centre.
