Baseline Mountain was established as a fire tower location in the foothills of the Rockies at the old tower location then upgraded in the 90s to the new tower location on the adjacent summit with an access road. Trail systems in the area are maintained by Baseline Mountain Biking Club and members offering exceptional Intermediate and Advanced single-track Mountain Biking experiences. The summit is accessed by hikers, 4x4/SUV vehicles, and off-highway vehicles (OHVs) via the main access road or multiple side trails that lead to the summit catering to all levels of adventure abilities. Baseline Mountain is home to many of Alberta's wildlife and wildflower species attracting hikers, hunters, and other users to the area that are foraging for sustainable wild food sources. The jewel of Baseline Mountain is the breathtaking views of Banff National Park mountains to the West and the vast contrast of the Prairies to the East that will captivate visitors from around the world!
