Located on the southeast shore of picturesque Lesser Slave Lake and bordering the town of Slave Lake, Big Fish Bay R.V. Resort offers full-service lakefront lots, tent sites, cabins, and group camping areas, as well as excellent fishing opportunities. Big Fish Bay is close to many amenities and a wealth of activities for you and your family to enjoy. All RV sites and campsites have access to clean washrooms & showers, sandy beaches, swimming (no lifeguard), and two playgrounds. Pets are welcome but some restrictions apply. There are fire pits and picnic tables at all sites, and firewood and ice are available at the office. Full-service campsites are available. The bungalow units and log cabins are on the beach and feature balconies where you can enjoy the stunning sunsets each evening. Each unit has its own barbecue, fire pit, and picnic table; and the kitchens are equipped with dishes, silverware, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, oven, and fridge. Towels and bedding are also provided. Lesser Slave Lake is a favorite fishing destination in Alberta. The Slave Lake municipal boat launch is a five-minute drive from Big Fish Bay. Most campers launch their boats at the free municipal boat launch, then come down the river onto the lake, and drop a heavy anchor in front of Big Fish Bay, and leave their boat in the water for the duration of their stay. The campsite is constantly upgrading and expanding. New sites were added, 3200 trees were planted in Phase 4, and two new playgrounds were brought in the fall of 2021.
