Since opening in 2011, the gallery celebrates the incredible Indigenous art of Jason Carter by day and world-class live theatre led by Bridget Ryan in the evening. At the Carter-Ryan, you will surround yourself with Jason’s bold brilliant paintings and beautiful soapstone sculptures and get to know this celebrated Cree artist, whose sculptures and paintings have been brought into collections globally. For those visiting internationally, his work is on permanent display at both international airports in Edmonton and Calgary. In 2017, Carter-Ryan opened its second location just down the road in Banff, Alberta. Visit either location to experience one of Alberta's most acclaimed visual artists.
