Centre Peak High Country Adventures lets guests explore the eastern slopes of the Livingstone Mountain Range on horseback alongside Kate McKim, who is extremely familiar with the area. Kate is a third-generation rancher who has a deep respect for this part of the world, which is embodied in the DU Ranch. The Ranch is located in southwestern Alberta between Pincher Creek and the Crowsnest Pass. It offers private trail rides on beautiful working horses from the beginning of May to mid-October, which are tailored to individual interests and abilities. The rides are the best way to experience the ranch lifestyle and see wildlife like bears, elk, deer, moose, big horn sheep and many birds. Western riding lessons are also available. Trail rides are anywhere from one to four hours. If you’d like to extend your visit, book the Ranch Hand Getaway or the Pioneer Getaway and stay a few nights.
