Contemporary Calgary

Contemporary Calgary is transforming an iconic Calgary landmark into a world-class destination for modern and contemporary art. As they prepare the Centennial Planetarium for the next phase of renovations, the art gallery is pleased to present the public with their new programming initiative Temporary Contemporary embracing this transitional moment to engage communities without delay, hosting a variety of visual art exhibitions, distinguished speaker series, outreach and education programs. Contemporary Calgary began with a collaboration of visual arts partners including the Institute of Modern and Contemporary Art (IMCA), the Art Gallery of Calgary (AGC), and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MOCA) in cooperation with members of the Calgary visual arts community.
