Cotillion Park is located in the Upper Peace Valley Recreation Area. This area in the northwestern part of the project extends for 230 km (143 mi) along the Peace River from the Alberta-B.C. border to the town of Peace River. Cotillion Campground is between Dawson Creek and Spirit River, off Highway 43. The trip from Spirit River is about 57 km (35 mi). The park offers spectacular river views. Admire the rugged sandstone cliffs weathered into intriguing hoodoo formations. The undisturbed parkland forests shelter moose, deer, beaver, black bear and bald eagles. The park also sits along the "sea to sea trail," which follows the path the explorer Alexander Mackenzie travelled in the late 1700s. The Cotillion Campground has serviced and unserviced sites and group-camping areas. Campers will find flush toilets, showers and a group-use cook shelter. There’s also a playground, firepits and free firewood.
