This historic Victorian house was built in 1912 by Swedish immigrants Emmanuel & Hilda Cronquist. To avoid being demolished, the House was moved in 1976 to its current location at Bower Ponds. The Red Deer Cultural Heritage Society has operated the House since 1976 and it is used as a Tea House and for private rentals. The Cronquist House is a landmark of Red Deer and is used in many promotional ads for the city. The house offers tours and information about the history of the House during the Tea House hours.
