Who would have thought that a trip to New Zealand would inspire a brewery in Rosalind? In 2017, a vacation filled with brewery tours sparked the idea to bring great craft beer and a relaxed atmosphere to their village. The perfect location presented itself when the Rosalind School, closed in 2013, went up for tender. And so, Detention Brewing Co. was born. Nestled in this historic building, the brewery pays homage to the generations of students who once walked these halls. It's a place to unwind with a cold beer and reminisce about school days, good friends, and unforgettable memories. They raise their pints to those who sought academic success and to those who sat in detention, writing lines and cleaning chalkboards.
