Dinosaur Campground is found in Dinosaur Provincial Park, 48 km (30 mi) northeast of Brooks. There are more than 120 RV and tent-friendly sites, including unserviced, powered and three pull-through options. The campground is nestled in a valley by the Red Deer River and shaded by cottonwood trees. It’s a popular spot with paddlers who can take advantage of the hand launch to get canoes and kayaks out on the river. The campground also features a food concession, cook shelter and drinking water. An amphitheatre hosts shows in July and August. Dinosaur Campground is the perfect base for exploring Dinosaur Provincial Park. Head for the visitor centre, where movies and interactive exhibits will teach you about this unique place. You can also book a tour to get out on the land and hunt for fossils. Reservations are a must during the busy summer season.
