Dinosaur Trail RV Resort is 11 km (6 mi) west of Drumheller. The family-friendly resort sits on Dinosaur Trail, so it's conveniently located for those visiting the Royal Tyrrell Museum and other local attractions. The resort sits on the banks of the Red Deer River, making it an ideal spot for canoers, kayakers and paddleboarders (rentals are available). You can also swim in the river, but you may find the heated pool more to your liking. A dinosaur-themed disc-golf course offers dry-land fun. The campground features 221 sites with full and partial hook-ups. It also has a general store, laundromat and Wi-Fi. Those looking for more comfort can book one of the seven furnished air-conditioned cabins, complete with full kitchens. Dinosaur Trail RV Resort is open from the beginning of May to the end of September.
