The Forbes Homestead was officially registered as a Provincial Heritage Site in 1976 and it is one of the oldest log buildings still standing in Grande Prairie. Containing the original log hospital building built in 1911 and the Forbes’s Residence add on built in 1912. There is free admission to the Forbes site, however, donations are gratefully accepted to help maintain the site. An onsite Heritage Interpreter will give all visitors a guided tour of the site, or people can walk through it at their own pace.
