Fox Lake is in east-central Alberta, just outside the town of Hanna. The campground is the perfect base for exploring the park and its recreation area. The campground features modern washrooms, coin-operated accessible showers and drinking water. Power (30 amp) and water are available at campsites. Firewood is sold on-site, and campers get four hours of free Wi-Fi daily, with additional time available for a fee. Seven group sites can be booked, but individual sites are not reservable. Fox Lake is a great place to take the plunge and cool off on a hot day. The recreation area also offers horseshoe pits and beach volleyball. The day-use boating area has a boat launch that can handle smaller craft and a floating dock. There’s even a beach camp kitchen available for day use. The area is also popular for birdwatching and geocaching.
