The Girl Guides of Canada Alberta Archives and Museum collects, preserves and interprets the history of Guiding in Alberta, the Northwest Territories and the Yukon. Guiding began in Alberta in 1913 and the Alberta Council was formed in 1929. The Alberta Archives and Museum was established in 1992. Some of the items included in the collection are historical uniforms, crests, badges, photographs, scrapbooks, event memorabilia and Guiding-related books. The Girl Guides of Canada Alberta Archives and Museum are open by appointment.
