The Medieval period provides top-flight entertainment at Good Knights Medieval Feasts. Guests can travel back in time just outside Three Hills, 132 km (82 mi) northeast of Calgary. Come for the feast or stay overnight. The Royal Feast is held every third Sunday of the month from June to September, and the five-course meal includes a complimentary opening drink, costumes and entertainment. The feasts vary depending on the local ingredients available, but set courses include smoked turkey legs, appetizers and hearty soup. All dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Those who want to stay a night or two can choose the Encampment or the Burrow. The former is glamping accommodation that features large tents with wooden floors, electric heaters and comfy beds. The latter is a cottage that sleeps six and features a private yard and hot tub. Those staying in the Encampment can take part in sword fighting and long-bow archery classes.
