Gasp in awe as you witness something truly out of this world. Starting at the end of Benchmark Trail, you meander for 20 minutes amidst whispering trees, moss, and funky mushrooms until you happen upon the magical Grosbeak Lake. Once there, walk on the bottom of what used to be an ancient sea. Peppered with large and small rocks (glacial erratics) and white from the salt deposits left behind, it's one of Wood Buffalo National Park's must-see sites. Access via Pine Lake Road, parking available in Salt River Day Use Area or across the road at the trailhead for Salt Pan Lake Trail.
