On a guided birding tour, naturalist Joel Hagen will introduce you to the feathered fauna of the Canadian Rockies, birds that are tough, beautiful, and very creative in their survival strategies. From the end of spring migration to the height of breeding season, our birds are in their best plumage, and their best voice. Half-day or full-day private birding tours are available between June 1 and July 15. They usually visit prime low-elevation birding hotspots near the town of Banff or the village of Field. For those hoping to find a special bird for your list, you can hike to habitats like canyons, wetlands, or evergreen forests to seek your target bird. In July you can hike to high-elevation meadows to find alpine specialists.
