The La Crete Mennonite Heritage Village is located just a few kilometers from the town of La Crete. The museum contains six historic homes along with a flour mill, a store, a school, the original Tompkins Landing ferry, a sawmill, and some outbuildings. The primary focus of the museum is to showcase the history of the La Crete area and of the Mennonite people who settled here. The Museum is open from May to September. Admission is by donation. Guided tours of the museum can be provided.
