MEC - South Edmonton Common

Test drive a new sport or activity by renting equipment from MEC South Edmonton Common. There are hiking and camping gear such as tents, sleeping bags and backpacks, helmets, mountaineering boots, crampons, and ice axes if you’re looking to try climbing. In the winter there are alpine and cross-country packages, snowshoes, avalanche beacons, avalanche probes, and shovels. And if you want to hit the water, you can rent plastic sea kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards. All boats/paddleboards are rented with paddles, PFDs, and safety gear. Reservations are highly recommended for holidays and weekends. Some gear may only be available to rent at certain times of the year.
