Medicine Hat JazzFest

The Medicine Hat JazzFest is a presentation of the Medicine Hat Jazz Society. They are planning the 28th JazzFest which will bring free and ticketed events to various venues throughout Medicine Hat, including concerts, a dance party and a jam. The goal is to bring the highest caliber of music to their area, to create and build community, to enhance the lives of individuals and to educate about jazz. They feature an eclectic mix of venues including a hangar at the Medicine Hat Regional Airport, the beautiful terrace and lobby of the Esplanade Arts and Entertainment Centre, to the front lawn of the Esplanade. They offer a number of educational opportunities including workshops, a jam, and concerts for elementary school children. Winner of the 2010 and 2015 Medicine Hat Chamber of Commerce Tourism Award of Distinction, and the 2016 Alberta Chamber of Commerce Business Award in Arts and Culture, the Medicine Hat JazzFest has found a way to bring together great jazz and a community festival that’s all about fun and celebration, and to do it in the beautiful setting of this small and friendly Alberta city.
