There’s nothing like comfort camping to ensure that you get a good night’s sleep while enjoying the great outdoors. And comfort camping doesn’t get any more comfortable than the four yurts at Miquelon Lake Provincial Park. The Miquelon Lake yurts are sturdy structures that sleep six people. The yurts are insulated and mounted on wooden decks. A queen-over-queen bunk bed and a pull-out futon, plus an electric heater and lights extend the comfort. Each yurt has a refrigerator, cookware, dishware and utensils. For cooking, there’s a gas barbecue with a side burner. Each site also has a firepit and a picnic table. Once you get settled in, explore all that Miquelon Lake Provincial Park offers. The lake is good for paddlers. The hiking and mountain biking trails wind through the knob-and-kettle terrain, and the area—designated as one of Canada’s Important Bird Areas—is a paradise for birdwatchers.
