Beat the crowds, catch the sunrise and ride in comfort. Daily scheduled service picks guests up in Canmore, Banff and Lake Louise and continues to Moraine Lake for sunrise. The shuttle arrives 45 minutes before the sun. Visitors have plenty of time to find the perfect vantage point to enjoy the sunrise in one of the most iconic spots in the Canadian Rockies. That iconic status means Moraine Lake can be a busy place. Arriving early in the morning is one of the best ways to see it. Also, note that the road to the lake is closed to personal vehicles. The shuttle remains on-site throughout your two-hour visit, so you always have a spot to warm up if needed. Passengers also get complimentary access to headlamps, blankets and a hot beverage to make waiting for the sun more comfortable. For an extra fee, visitors can be dropped off at Lake Louise on the return trip and picked up five hours later. The shuttle runs from June to October; reserve your spot in advance online.
