The fun doesn’t stop at Mt. Norquay when the ski season ends. The resort offers a host of things to do in the summer, too. Visitors would do well to start with one of the best seats in Banff National Park — possibly in all of Canada. Mt. Norquay's famous Sightseeing Chairlift is an unforgettable, 10-minute open-air journey into the sky. It’s also the easy way to get above it all as visitors are whisked up the mountain to an elevation of 2,085 m (6,840 ft). Once at the top of the lift, guests can explore the area and its hiking trails. After taking a look around, head for the historic Cliffhouse Bistro for lunch, a pot of tea or a drink. The menu includes pizzas, tacos and appetizers. The 1950s chalet vibe is matched by the impressive views that come with being on top of the world. Fun fact: Marliyn Monroe visited in 1953 while filming River of No Return.
