To get to the Musreau Lake Provincial Recreation Area, drive 85 km (53 mi) south of Grande Prairie. You’ll earn the reward of staying at this scenic, quiet camping spot by taking a gravel road for another 2 km (1.2 mi), which can be rough. Prepare to wind down at the lake by taking it easy on the road. Launch your boat or canoe into the clear, deep waters of spring-fed Musreau Lake for fishing and exploring. There’s a sandy beach at the shore, exceptional for swimming, and the forested lakeshore trail is a delightful way to discover local birds and wildlife. Camp close to the lakeshore on well-treed campsites, suitable for RVs and tents. The campground is first-come, first-served, but you'll need a reservation for the group camping area. All of the sites have fire pits, and firewood is available onsite. Nearby, you can find vault toilets and potable water.
