The MacEwan Schoolhouse was built in 1906 and hosted its first class in the spring of 1907. Now used as the Nanton Visitor Information Centre, it is filled with information regarding the town of Nanton, its history, and details of the surrounding area. This year brings a new twist. Travel counsellors will not just give out information, but will also be collecting stories of visitors to the centre. Whether from the viewpoint of tourists or locals, Nanton stories are being gathered and posted to get a sense of who is here and what they love about this little town that's on the way everywhere. During the off-season, you can find business, attraction, and event information at www.visitnanton.com.
