A jewel in the Peace Country, the non-profit Nitehawk Adventure Park has been delighting outdoor sports enthusiasts of all ages since 1960. In that time it’s grown from a quaint ski hill to a year-round, multipurpose recreational area, with more than 40,000 visits each winter. Located 10 minutes south of Grande Prairie, Nitehawk skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, as well as activities such as mountain biking, trail running/hiking, and RV-ing. Their renowned wilderness RV campground (84 fully serviced sites, plus another 12 overflow sites) is open year-round. Nitehawk's scenic surroundings make its Chalet a popular destination for weddings and corporate & family functions. As Nitehawk's Team works to recover from the landslide they experienced in 2020, they are excited to have 80% of their Skiable terrain back. Winter operations will see the use of the Platter Lift, the 100-foot Conveyor Lift, the 600-foot Conveyor Lift, and the NEW Summit T-Bar Lift to permit skiing & snowboarding on Easy Street, Middle Temptation, The Shoot, Slow Poke, Showoff, the Halfpipe, Willoway, and Bob's Bump runs, and the Terrain Park. The Aquatera Tube Zone, the Adventure Zone Toddler Play Area, and the Aquatera Toddler Tube Lane will also be open. Please visit their website for updates.
