On the shores of Lac Cardinal in northern Alberta lies Queen Elizabeth Provincial Park, a small park that punches above its weight. Set up camp at one of 50 sites tucked into the forest along the lake before relaxing at the lakeside beach. The lake is also a great place to swim, sail, windsurf, and water ski. Nearby you’ll find shady forest trails ideal for hiking and mountain biking. With 140 species of birds and other wildlife recorded in the park, there are plenty of opportunities for wildlife viewing as well.
