The retreat features four uniquely themed chalets: the secluded Chickadee Chalet, equipped with power and Wi-Fi, comfortably sleeping up to six guests and ideal for a light-packing getaway, and three charming off-grid chalets—Hooting Owl, Foxy Den, and Cozy Coyote—that each sleep two guests. Each chalet includes essential amenities such as bedding, cookware, lanterns, lawn games, board games, and outdoor solar lights. Every site also boasts a private gazebo with chairs and a fire table, and there are two fire pits for cozy gatherings. Ravens Valley Nature Retreat is also an ideal venue for hosting various events, including painting parties, crib and horseshoe tournaments, game nights, karaoke, and bible studies. The entire retreat can be rented for your special occasions. Steeped in history, Ravens Valley was originally a coal mine site known as Black Gem, which operated until 1966. The retreat was established in 2022 to provide a peaceful haven for those seeking solace during the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, it continues to offer a serene environment where guests can relax and reconnect with nature. The retreat is also home to two happy rescue squirrels.
