With 25 water features, the Town of Redcliff’s new Splash Park offers visitors a fun way to beat the heat. It sits within Lions Park, which offers nearly four acres of green space and lots of shady spots, courtesy of the many mature trees. Lions Park is also the site of the old town water tower. Other amenities at the park include horseshoe pits, traditional playground equipment, a newly upgraded washroom, change rooms and kitchen facilities. It has picnic tables and a picnic shelter, so bring a feast to enjoy after a romp in the Splash Park. Redcliff is 9 km (5 mi) northwest of Medicine Hat, so it’s an easy and enjoyable day trip if you’re in the area. It’s also home to hiking, walking and cycling trails, an outdoor pool, tennis and pickleball courts, a skate park and ball diamonds.
