Strathcona Spirits

Strathcona Spirits is Edmonton’s first distillery. Founded by Edmontonians Adam Smith and Andrea Shubert, they produce fine, very small-batch spirits using traditional methods in a tiny, sunny boomtown building in Old Strathcona. The distillery’s background is in Edmonton's arts, music, and DIY culture. With great pride in these roots, Strathcona Spirits forges ahead in the new worldwide craft distilling renaissance. Born from the ashes of a live art space, the passion for the startup was sourced from a strong interest in the real alchemy of distillation; the collection of essence, local flora, and the fascinating world of aging spirits. Their small, hardworking team has been busy developing an expanding line of fine spirits that embody the essence of Edmonton and the land surrounding it. The good folks at Strathcona Distillery produce locally but think globally. Though brand new to the market, their spirits are already available at many bars, restaurants, and fine retailers.
