Sunshine Meadows

A natural garden surrounded by rocky peaks, Sunshine Meadows offers some of the most spectacular vistas in Banff National Park. When the snow melts and spring begins, the area’s 12-km trail system opens to the public and can be accessed via the gondola. Take an independent wander or a guided hike along one of many well-marked trails winding around three alpine lakes (Laryx, Grizzly, and Rock Isle) and colorful meadows. When it’s time to catch your breath, relax on a bench to take in breathtaking mountain views!
