Sylvan Lake Park is the ideal spot to enjoy Sylvan Lake, which is one of Alberta’s most popular summer destinations. These sun and fun seekers are drawn to the 1.6-km-long (1 mi) beach as well as the lake itself. Boat launches on the lake make it easy to get out on the water. The lake is large and ideal for power boating, water-skiing and paddling. Sylvan Lake Park has accessible public washrooms. It also has a wheelchair-accessible mat at the lakefront that enables beach access for wheelchairs, strollers and those who walk with canes. Three beach wheelchairs are available. They roll easily on the sand, and two of them can go in the water. The area has many shops, restaurants and concessions. Special events run throughout the summer, making Sylvan Lake a great place for a day trip or an extended stay.
