That's Empressive is a gallery and gift shop on the eastern edge of the Canadian Badlands where you can also buy gas, groceries and home-baked goodies. The store features pottery by ceramic artists from across Canada, woodcrafts from British Columbia, and spectacular women's costume jewelry. unusual home decor, truly unique and creative gifts as well as toys to keep the kids amused in the car! But the gallery is also home to the Ojibwa artist, Nokomis. Besides her original paintings, her entire collection of limited and open-edition prints and dozens of notecards are available. Artcards and limited edition serigraphs of dozens of other First Nations artists are also on hand. The store is open seven days a week from 7 am to 9 pm and staff can also check you into the Village campground or advise on canoe routes and other local attractions.
