The Fenlands is Banff’s well-appointed recreation centre. The facility has one NHL-sized hockey rink; one slightly smaller rink with a spectator capacity of 550, four sheets of curling ice and a lounge. But the Fenlands is also a venue for mental workouts, with two meeting rooms and space for corporate events. There’s also an indoor turf field and a well-appointed gym. The Family Fun Zone offers dop-in rates. Kids can burn off steam by playing basketball, table tennis, badminton or giant Lego. They can also tackle an arts-and-craft project or play a board game. Kids up to the age of 6 can hit the Little Rippers Indoor Bike Zone to hone their skills. (Rental bikes are available in kids’ sizes.) The Fenlands is perfect for banquets and weddings. It has a full-service concession and free Wi-Fi.
