The Military Museums is dedicated to representing Canada's navy, army, and air force and educating the public about Canada's military. The attraction includes three branch-specific museums, an art gallery, and The Military Museums Library and Archives. The attraction has an incredible collection of artifacts and stories spanning Canada's military history from the late 1800s through the World Wars and Afghanistan. The Military Museums also feature the Cold War Exhibit, comprised of two hangars housing a CF-18 Hornet, a CF-104 Starfighter, and an F-86 Sabre Jet fighter. In short, there is a lot to see. Visitors can take in the highlights in about half a day. But to get a sense of the breadth of the collection, it’s best to give yourself a day—or even two. You’ll find it all just off Crowchild Trail, just minutes from downtown Calgary.
