One of the largest campgrounds on the Icefield Parkway, this beautiful spot sits on the Mistaya River between Upper and Lower Waterfowl Lakes. The glacier-fed lakes are perfect for canoeing, kayaking or paddle boarding. Waterfowl Lakes Campground is also a perfect spot for hikers. There are several trails (most rated moderate) in the area. Waterfowl Lakes Campground is also a short drive from Saskatchewan River Crossing, Bow Lake and Peyto Lake, so it’s a great base for those who want to explore the sights. The wooded campground has 110 unserviced sites for tents and RVs up to 9 m (31 ft). Campers will also find drinking water, a cooking shelter, picnic shelter, dry and flush toilets, food lockers and fire pits. They can also take advantage of interpretive programs run by Parks Canada at the campground theatre.
