The Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies inspires discovery and wonder when people and the Rocky Mountains meet. They share stories and explore the culture shaped by this mountain landscape. The founders, Peter and Catharine Whyte, were local artists and philanthropists who wished to offer a place where people could gather and appreciate the culture and beauty of the area. They welcome visitors to their mountain home, sharing with them a sense of awe and belonging, through exhibitions, events, heritage homes, archives, library, tours, and museum shop.
